Installation with a surface-type housing 6885

● Break up one of the side covers (item 1) or
one of the covers in the base plate (item 2)
depending on the desired wiring arrangement.
● If necessary, install a cable entry.
● Insert the required cables into the surface-
type housing.
● Fasten the surface-type housing with some
screws.
● Connect the flush-mounting insert as shown in
the connection diagrams (see Fig. 1 to 10)
and fasten it to the nuts (item 3) provided in
the surface-type housing.

Installation in combination with extension units

The Presence Watchdog can be operated via extension units. Please comply
with the instructions in the operating manual of your specific flush-mounting
insert concerning the wiring arrangement, the maximum cable length, the
selection of normally-open contact buttons, etc.
8.6

Dismounting the Presence Watchdog

Pull the Presence Watchdog perpendicularly down at the outer housing ring to
remove it from the flush-mounting insert.
