Removing the air baffle
CAUTION: Do not detach the cable that connects the battery pack to the cache module. Detaching the cable causes any CAUTION:
unsaved data in the cache module to be lost.
CAUTION: For proper cooling, do not operate the server without the access panel, baffles, expansion slot covers, or CAUTION:
blanks installed. If the server supports hot-plug components, minimize the amount of time the access panel is open.
Procedure Procedure
1. Power down the server (Power down the server).
2. Remove all power:
a. Disconnect each power cord from the power source.
b. Disconnect each power cord from the server.
3. Do one of the following:
Extend the server from the rack ( Extend the server from the rack ).
Remove the server from the rack ( Remove the server from the rack ).
4. Remove the access panel ( Remove the access panel ).
5. Remove the air baffle.
To replace the component, reverse the removal procedure.
