■ Upgrading Firmware
Click the [OK] button after the Hardware
Safely Removed message appears as shown.
Click
Firmware is automatically upgraded when the device is unplugged from your PC.
When the firmware upgrade is complete, FL400 will be turned OFF automatically.
Caution
● Please be aware if you apply external shock or the battery is low while the player is upgrading the firmware,
it can cause product breakdown or malfunction.

Upgrading Firmware in Macintosh

The files in FL400 will be lost after upgrading firmware.
Download the firmware upgrade for Macintosh at MPIO web site, uncompress it and save it on the
computer. (www.mpio.com)
Turn the power of FL400 ON and connect it to a computer using a USB connector.
Save the firmware upgrade file (Image.dat, Player.rom, and Upgrade.axf) in FL400.
Separate FL400 from the computer.
Firmware is automatically upgraded when the device is unplugged from your PC.
When the firmware upgrade is complete, FL400 will be turned OFF automatically.
Note
● To upgrade the firmware, there must be 10MB of free memory space in FL400's memory.
● Formatting FL400's memory using Macintosh PC is not recommended. To format FL400, please contact the
customer support center.
● The firmware upgrade file for Macintoshes is compressed using stuffit. When you extract the compressed file,
you can confirm the firmware upgrade files and read me files (.txt).
● Causing outer impact on FL400 or lack of battery during firmware upgrade may cause a malfunction.
