shredded causes a blockage.
The appliance now goes into reverse and the paper that is being shredded
is ejected.
Pull the paper out of the appliance, then set the switch 1 to "AUTO".
The appliance is now ready for use.
NOTE
Reverse mode is solely for clearing paper jams. Do not use it for removing
documents that are already half shredded and are not causing a jam.
Switching the appliance off
To switch the device off, push the switch 1 to the "OFF" position.
If you do not intend to use the appliance for an extended period, remove the
plug from the power socket.

soon as a paper sheet touches the contact which starts the cutting process. The
appliance stops.
Remove the power plug from the wall socket to avoid unintended restarting
of the appliance.
Place the switch 1 in the "OFF" position.
Empty the container.
Allow the appliance to cool until it has cooled to room temperature.
Put the mains plug back into the socket.
