and some vehicle components can get very hot while riding. Do not touch these com-
ponents. Consumption of certain drugs and medicines, illegal or prescribed, as well
as alcohol greatly increases the risk of accidents. Do not drive while under the influ-
ence of alcohol or drugs, whether they are illegal or licensed by a doctor. Make sure
that you are in good physical condition before driving your vehicle. Do not drive in
conditions of particular fatigue or tiredness. Alcohol, drugs and fatigue are the main
cause of accidents. Many accidents are due to the driver's inexperience. Do not ride
your vehicle until you have received training from a recognized organization such as
the Motorcycle Safety Foundation. Always keep in mind that driving a two-wheeled
vehicle, while easy and fun, is very different from driving a car. Not necessarily an
experienced car driver is able to safely drive a two-wheeled vehicle. NEVER lend the
vehicle to other people if you are not sure that they are experts and in possession of
a driving license. Respect all the rules of the road traffic code. In particular, pay at-
tention to all warning, traffic regulation and information signs.
Avoid showing off with dangerous manoeuvres (e.g. rear up). In particular, respect the
speed limits and remember that the conditions of the road surface vary according to
the weather conditions; wet and icy roads are dangerous especially at high speed.
Car drivers often find it difficult to see two-wheeled vehicles, so always give priority to
cars even in cases where according to the road traffic code you would have priority.
Before changing lanes, always check that the road is clear behind you. Do not rely
solely on the rear view mirror as it could underestimate the distance and speed of a
vehicle or even not see it at all. Avoid obstacles that could damage the vehicle or lead
to loss of control of the vehicle. Do not drive close to vehicles like trucks or cars, in
front of you and do not remain in their lane to increase speed. In the event of an
accident, motorcycles, scooters and mopeds do not offer the same level of protection

as cars. Especially the legs are exposed to the risk of injury. The additional installation
of leg pads can concretely increase the risk of injury and the severity in the event of
an accident. Do not install leg pads available on the spare parts and accessories mar-
ket. Failure to follow these instructions can result in serious injury or even death.
Always ride with both hands on the handlebars and feet on the foot pegs. Never
change gear without using the clutch if your vehicle is equipped with one. Do not
operate the shift lever or other controls abruptly and suddenly. Misuse of this type
could damage the internal components of the vehicle resulting in seizure, loss of con-
trol, accidents and serious or even fatal injuries. Remain seated while driving. Do not
stand up or try to stretch yourself while riding the vehicle. If you need to rest, pull over
at a safe point on the road. It is very important for your safety to always drive with the
