Removing the NVRAM Card
The NVRAM card is located beneath the internal SATA controller card.
To release the retention bar, depress the latch and rotate the bar outward.

Remove the NVRAM card and set it on the anti-static foam inside the

replacement card's carton.
Replacing the NVRAM Card
Remove the new card from its protective packaging. Avoid contact with metal
1
surfaces on the card.
Due to on-board battery voltages, never place the NVRAM card on a

metal surface.
The two red jumpers rest on one post. To complete the connection, lift the jumper
2
off and place it on both posts.
Install the card into the full-height slot by grasping only the edges of the card and

pressing firmly until it is properly seated and you hear it snap into place.
Replace the retention bar by rotating inward until the latch engages.

Replacing the Card Cage
Flip the card cage assembly back and return it to its original position, holding it

over the server.
Make sure the rear of the assembly is aligned with the guides at the rear of the
2
chassis and lower the assembly into place.
