Installing the Snap Server 18000 in a Rack

The Snap Server Rack Mount Kit consists of these items: (1) two slide rail assemblies
with a packet of screws for mounting the rails to the chassis and rack; (2) left and
right front brackets with a packet of screws for securing the server to the rails; and
(3) a cable management arm. To safely install the server, you will also need a
Phillips screwdriver, a nut driver, and an assistant to help position the Snap Server
into the rack.

Removing the Inner Sliders from the Slide Rail Assemblies

Place the slide rail assembly on a flat surface.
1
Grasp the inner slider and slide it toward the front of the assembly, as shown in
2
the illustration.
When the inner slider cannot move any farther, press the release button toward
3
the front. The inner slider comes all the way out of the assembly.
Repeat the procedure with the second slide rail assembly.
4
Set both inner sliders aside for now. Later in the procedure, you will attach them
5
to the sides of the chassis.
