Warning
Ensure that the Reference Headband is securely fastened. If the Reference Headband slips,
tracking is inaccurate.
Warning
Do not readjust the Reference Headband during subsequent procedures. The tracking will
no longer be accurate and the instrument tip incorrectly displayed.
Warning
If the Reference Headband is fastened too tightly during extensive surgery (longer than two
hours), indentations may appear on the patient's head (e.g., on the forehead), due to
fixation pressure. These indentations generally disappear within 24 hours.
Do not cover the skin the Z-touch or Softouch need for registration with the headband or
drape.

Remove the foil from the foam pad and stick the foam pad onto the patient's forehead,
positioning the reference connector ① towards the camera.
Pull both ends evenly ③, to tighten the headband around the patient's head.
Attach the Reference Unit for Headband to the reference connector ④.
Drape the patient as usual ⑤.
Carefully cut the drape to provide access for remounting the sterile reference unit.
