INSTALLATION - ADDING FLIP-DOWN HARDWARE

Adding the Flip-Down Hardware to PT Hardware
1 Remove the screw (A) and the safety washer (B) from the taper insert (C). Separate the link (D) and the stem (E).

Align the Flip-Down Hardware (F) with the link (D). Make sure the lever (G) is on the right-hand side of the hardware
assembly.

Place the existing taper insert (C) halves (countersunk side first) in the end of link (D).
- Make sure that the square ends are aligned inside for a low-profile fit in the joint.
- The countersunk side of all taper inserts (C) should face the same direction on the hardware so that the screws (A)
are all on the same side.

Insert the screw (A) and the safety washer (B) into countersunk side of taper insert (C) and tighten. Firmly hold the
threaded side of the taper insert while tightening.
