Configuration and operation using TROVIS-VIEW interface
You can adapt the graphs by adding data points, which should be logged, or by removing
them.
The crosswire cursor allows you to select data points to display the corresponding values, to
move x- and y-axes as well as to adapt the scale. Additionally, you are able to zoom in and
out of the graph.
A data point added over the crosswire cursor can be removed again by moving it with cur-
sor past the x-axis.
The recorded data points can be displayed in a table of values (
button) and exported as
CSV, XML or XLS files (
button). CSV files (comma separated values) are text files and can
be edited with a text editor, Excel etc. The data points are written in a file in rows separated
by a comma.
Performing settings
You can add new data points into the list by dragging and dropping them onto the Trend
Viewer window for logging.
These data points can be logged in an existing graph or a new graph, depending on how
the data point is arranged on screen. If required, you can adapt the graph properties by
double-clicking or right-clicking (context-sensitive menu) the data point name, range of val-
ues, time axis or color. Tick or untick the data point checkboxes to activate or deactivate in-
dividual data points or the whole graph.
Select Online in Device menu to establish communication and display the selected data
points in the Trend Viewer in online mode according to the settings previously made.
Apart from merely displaying and the exporting the logged data, it is also possible to save
the logged data points cyclically in a file. Right-click on the graph and select Save logging
automatically from the context-sensitive menu to choose a location where the logging should
be saved. Select Modify storage address for logging from the context-sensitive menu to
change this storage location. The logging is automatically saved every five minutes after the
online mode is started in a file named using the date, time and module type with the ."log"
affix as well as when exiting the online mode. This file can be edited as required.
Detailed information is contained in the online help.
