Martin maxium & maxium Beamer Operating Instructions
The hose connected to the pressure reducer has a quick-action coupling that you simply push onto
the maxium Beamer's gas connection pin until it locks home. When disconnecting the coupling
from the pin, the inlet is automatically locked to ensure that no gas can escape. If the hose is al-
ready under pressure, more force is required to push it onto the pin than in unpressurized condition
and a small amount of gas will escape during the process. However, this poses no hazards.
To exchange cylinders, the pressure reducer must first be removed after closing
the angle valve. This can only be done after the pressure reducer has been de-
pressurized. To achieve this, you can activate the gas flow either by activating
the maxium Beamer or pressing the PURGE button. The fastest way, though, is
disconnecting the quick-action coupling and pushing it onto the decompression
DECOMP
pin located on the unit's rear panel.
Never use up the cylinder's gas content completely!
The cylinder should be exchanged when the internal pressure drops below 30 bar (observe infor-
mation provided on the maxium's display!).
If the system is not used for an extended period of time, we recommend you to close the
cylinder's angle valve!
The maxium Beamer's safety and proper functioning are guaranteed only if a
genuine Martin pressure reducer is used!
Be sure to use only the pressure reducer offered by Martin as standard acces-
sory (see section 10.8, "Accessories for Martin Argon Beamer Systems")!
