Uro Cut Blend
"Uro Cut Blend" is a cutting current similar to "Uro Cut Pure" but with more hemostasis. Both cur-
rents allow exact working with the resectoscope when using an irrigation liquid in urology or gyne-
cology. However, "bubble formation" during the cutting process is a little stronger in the case of the
"Uro Cut Blend" than with "Uro Cut Pure".
Argon Cut
In an argon gas atmosphere, this current supports a cut that produces even less eschar than the
"Pure Cut" current because the inert gas argon displaces the oxygen from the thermally induced
cutting canal, which leads to considerably less tissue carbonization. Such cutting under protective
gas also causes less burn-off with correspondingly lower smoke (plume) development. Apart from
the electric parameters, the argon flow rates of the maxium Argon Beamer can also be easily con-
trolled through the maxium's operator panel when using this type of current.
Care Cut
This current offers a precise and pure cut especially useful in microsurgery. When extremely thin
applicators are used – such as fine wire loop or needle electrodes –, this current type minimizes
damage to the lateral tissue edges. The hemostatic effect is correspondingly low.
Polyp I
This is a mixed type of current that automatically alternates between cutting and coagulating. It is
used for the low-hemorrhage resection of small or pedunculated polyps with a polypectomy loop
electrode.
