Mains Connection

The maxium HF unit comes with a wide-range power supply unit (PSU) that
enables you to connect the unit to a power supply source with a nominal mains
voltage ranging from 100 volts to 240 volts. Within this range, there is no need
at all to make range adjustments. The PSU socket also contains the line fuses
(two T6.3A slow-blow fuses) for protection of the unit.

Controls

The maxium is controlled through the following elements: ON-OFF switch (19), the channel selec-
tor buttons (3), (6), (9) and (12), the MENU button (16), and the rotary switch (17). These controls
enable you to set and operate the maxium conveniently through screen navigation.

Power (ON/OFF) Switch

Following proper preparation and correct installation in its intended place of use
(see local installation and operating regulations and observe the national fire
hazard and explosion protection regulations), the maxium HF unit can be turned
on with the ON-OFF switch (19). It is now ready for use.
When you switch on the unit for the first time, it will perform a self-test and then offer you the preset
standard program. You can change this by adjusting the maxium's settings so that it will offer the
last-used program after turning it on (please refer to section 6, "Operating the Unit").
Note
• Whenever the maxium is restarted, the bipolar "Auto Start" function must be confirmed anew for
safety reasons if you want to use it!
After switching on the maxium, the indicated currents can immediately be used provided the nec-
essary accessories have been properly connected.
