Duo Spray
In terms of quality, the "Duo Spray" current is fully identical with the "Spray" current. If you select
"Duo Spray", however, the spray current can be activated with both monopolar channels, M1 and
M2, either separately or simultaneously. If activated simultaneously, the two channels share in the
preset output as the situation requires.
Irrespective of whether you select this current via M1 or M2, the pictogram of this current is always
displayed on the other channel as well. In the same manner, output power indication is "synchro-
nized", so changing the power for one channel will also affect the other one (although you use the
red frame only in one channel). The indicated power value corresponds exactly to the effective
output power available in one of the monopolar channels, M1 or M2, if only one channel is se-
lected.
If one of the two channels has been deselected (by pressing the channel selector button a little
longer), the "Duo Spray" current automatically changes to the equivalent (single-channel) "Spray"
current.
Argon Beam
This current is intended for use in open surgery. If a maxium Beamer is available, you can control
the argon gas flow directly via the maxium's control panel when working with this current. Argon
gas flow rates between 0.1 l/min and 12 l/min can be selected. The hallmarks of this current are its
excellent "ignition property" (owing to the "pre-discharge" feature) and unique application distance.
Argon Endo
Like the endoscopically-assisted application of the "Spray" current, the "Argon Endo" current has
also been adapted to the specific requirements encountered in endoscopy. Since it is difficult for
the user to keep the distance between the applicator and the tissue constant in endoscopic appli-
cations, "Argon Endo" automatically compensates "distance variations", thus preventing argon
beam disruption even when the distance considerably increases. The "ignition properties" of this
current are particularly noteworthy.
