Introduction

DOCUMENTATION CONVENTIONS

This document contains general safety, installation and operation instructions for the MC-4 Digital Controller. It is important to read this user guide before attempting to use
this product. Pay particular attention to safety instructions.
The following symbols are used in this document:
Appears on the component to indicate the presence of
uninsulated, dangerous voltage inside the enclosure—
voltage that may be sufficient to constitute a risk of
shock.
Appears on the component to indicate important operating
and maintenance instructions in the accompanying
literature.
Calls attention to a procedure, practice, condition or the
WARNING
like that, if not correctly performed or adhered to, could
result in injury or death.
Calls attention to a procedure, practice, condition or the
CAUTION
like that, if not correctly performed or adhered to, could
result in damage or destruction to part or all of the
product.
Note:
Calls attention to information that is essential to highlight.
This document uses the term DTS(-ES) to indicate that DTS-ES encoding may or may not be present in the input source.

SETUP
INPUTS
DVD1
NAME
Represents a menu path. The menu items in gray boxes must be selected with
the remote control Menu 4 arrow to access the menu or menu item in the black
box. For instance, the SETUP, INPUTS and DVD1 menu items must be selected
to open the DVD1 INPUT SETUP menu.
The DVD1 INPUT SETUP menu is used here as an example and will continue to
be used as an example throughout this document. Whenever it appears, any
other INPUT SETUP menu may be substituted. Likewise, whenever the DVD1
input appears as a step in a menu path, any other input may be substituted.
