Separate DSP engine for decoding compressed audio sources • Broadcast-quality video switching Built to professional standards, the MC-4 is designed to serve as the control center in any high-quality home entertainment system. Even the most demanding enthusiast will be impressed with its unique combination of power, performance, flexibility and technological sophistication.
• Install the MC-4 on a solid, flat, level surface such as a table or shelf. The MC-4 can also be installed in a standard 19-inch equipment rack using the optional rack-mount kit available from authorized Lexicon dealers.
The remote control requires two AA batteries that should be replaced as needed. Use Alkaline batteries, which last longer without leaking. When the batteries are low on power, the remote control enters a low-voltage condition that prevents it from operating the MC-4. When this occurs, follow the instructions below to replace the batteries.

LISTENING MODE ACTIVATION Listening modes are available for 2-channel, Dolby Digital, DTS(-ES) and analog input sources. The MC-4 allows listening mode selection for all sources. In some cases, the MC-4 automatically activates a listening mode in response to certain commands. For this reason, it is important to understand the three methods through which listening mode activation occurs.
These parameters can be used to select a preferred listening mode for 2-channel, Dolby Digital, DTS(-ES) and 5.1a input sources. The MC-4 automatically activates the selected listening mode whenever a new input is selected or a new input source is present.
