Maintenance: Visual Inspection
1. Start the Bed Duplicator application according to
page 2-30.

If possible, run the Bed Duplicator from an ApexPro Telemetry Server that
will not be taken offline because the Bed Duplicator application displays
network bed admit/discharge activity in the Log Messages window. Log
Messages information is purged if the Bed Duplicator application is shut
down.
2. Record the names of the beds on the ApexPro Telemetry Server. Bed names are
changed during duplication, and will need to be restored when the beds are
copied back to the ApexPro Telemetry Server.
3. Copy the beds on the ApexPro Telemetry Server to the alternate tower
according to "Bed Duplication"
4. Ensure all beds copied to the alternate tower are assigned to slots and monitored
at a CIC Pro.
5. Shut down the ApexPro Telemetry Server, as required, for maintenance,
service, troubleshooting or replacement.
6. After the ApexPro Telemetry Server is brought back online, copy any beds (as
required) from the alternate tower to the ApexPro Telemetry Server. Examples
of such beds would include:

Beds admitted while the ApexPro Telemetry Server was offline.
‹
If the ApexPro Telemetry Server was replaced, all beds copied to the
alternate tower.
7. Ensure all beds on the ApexPro Telemetry Server brought back online are
assigned to slots and monitored at a CIC Pro.
8. Rename beds as required.
9. Discharge duplicate beds on the alternate tower.
10. After the discharge process is complete, (when the discharge message is
removed from the Pending Transactions field), exit the Bed Duplicator
application according to
Carefully inspect the ApexPro Telemetry Server and its components prior to
installation, once each year thereafter, and each time the equipment is serviced.
To perform a complete visual inspection of the equipment, follow these steps:
1. GENERAL INSPECTION — Inspect the external surfaces of the computer
components and display monitor for obvious physical damage. Do NOT use the
ApexPro Telemetry Server
