Equipment Overview: Unity Network Description/Connection
The ApexPro Telemetry Server, running the ApexPro Host software, is a telemetry
component of the Unity network family of devices. It is also the physical connection
point between ApexPro telemetry devices and the CIC Pro Clinical Information
Server.
The Unity Network MC (Mission Critical) network is used to connect the ApexPro
Telemetry Server to the CIC Pro system.
The Unity Network MC network contains:
Waveforms
Parameters
Alarms
Other time-sensitive data

The ApexPro Telemetry Server must be connected to the Unity Network MC
network backbone.
The Unity Network IX (Information eXchange) network is used for:
Network laser printing
Server system (such as CIC Pro) interconnection for license sharing.

The Unity Network IX network is used if a connection to outside your facility is
required (an internet connection, for example).
The Unity Network RX (Receiver eXchange) network is the connection to the
telemetry system.
