Programming the Trigger System
Trigger Keyword Definitions
The following paragraphs contain condensed definitions of the keywords used
in the comman d tables. Many of the commands in trigger related subsystems
are
Similarly, event commands have no related *RST actions or settings. Event
commands cause a particular action to take place inside the sweeper.
The ABORt command forces the trigger system to the idle state. Any
measurement or output sequence in process is aborted as quickly as possible.
*RST. ABOIzt is a root level event command and cannot be queried.
IMMediate
The IMMediate command provides a one-time override of the normal
downward path in an event-detection state. The instrument must be in the
generated and the command has no effect. For example, the instrument
must be in the TRlG state for:TRIGger : IMMediate to work properly.
If the instrument is in the idle state, the command has no effect, and an
error would be generated. IMMediate is an event command and cannot be
queried.
SOURce
The SOURce command selects the trigger source for an event-detection
state. Only one source can be spec3ied at a time, and all others are ignored.
Sending *RST sets SOURce to IMMediate. The most commonly used sources
are:
