Setting the Pre-Boot Network Environment

Setting the Pre-Boot Network Environment
Use the Pre-Boot Network Environment option to set a preference for how your network boot targets appear in the UEFI Boot Order
list. This option also controls the Pre-Boot network operations from Embedded UEFI Shell.
Procedure
Procedure
1. From the System Utilities screen, select System Configuration > BIOS/Platform Configuration (RBSU) > Network Options > Network
Boot Options > Pre-boot Network Environment .
2. Select a setting.
Auto—All network operations initiated in the pre-boot environment occur over IPv4 or IPv6. The order of the existing network
boot targets in the UEFI Boot Order list is not modified. New network boot targets are added to the end of the list using the
default policy of the system BIOS.
IPv4—All network operations initiated in the pre-boot environment only occur over IPv4. Removes all existing IPv6 network
boot targets in the UEFI Boot Order list. New IPv6 network boot targets are not added to the list.
IPv6—All network operations initiated in the pre-boot environment only occur over IPv6. Removes all existing IPv4 network
boot targets in the UEFI Boot Order list. New IPv4 network boot targets are not added to the list.
3. Save your changes.
