Select the type of telephone line that is being used.
If Pulse is selected, press the [*] key to temporarily
change the telephone line type to Tone. After using the
machine with the receiver on the hook, return the setting
to Pulse.
If using the machine in Europe, the Pulse setting varies
according to the country. Select the appropriate Pulse
setting for your country.

Select the number of rings that are sounded when a fax
is received.
If Manual is selected, a fax cannot be received automat-
ically. Receive the fax manually. For details, refer to
"Receiving Faxes After Using the Telephone" on page
