the 90° position while travelling, this
position is only meant for putting the
child in the seat before travel and re-
moving the child after travel.
WARNING! Check the car seat har-
nesses for proper tension, leaving at
least one finger width of "wiggle room"
between the child's shoulder and the
harness.
10. CHANGING
CONFIGURATION OF THE CAR
SEAT FROM GR. 1 (9-18 kg) TO
GR. 2/3 (15-36 kg)
Use the following steps to change the
car seat configuration from Group 1 to
Group 2/3:
• Press the belt adjustment button (K)
and hold and pull both the Child Car
Seat belts toward yourself until the
maximum length is reached (Fig.
13.1).
• Open the shoulder straps, remove
them (Fig. 13.2) and store them
where they won't get lost.
• Remove the velcro from the central
flap of the car seat to access the base
of the seat (Fig. 13.3).
• Move the buckle plate from position
1 to position 2 (Fig. 13.4).
• Pull the buckle out from the padded
crotch strap (I) and have it run under
the seat cover (Fig. 13.5).
• Join the car seat harness buckle
tongues together and insert them in
the buckle (Fig. 13.6).
• Open the compartment under the
seat and place the buckle and har-
nesses inside (Fig. 13.7).
• Pull out the belt positioner (Z) and
have it run inside the padded crotch
strap (I) (Fig. 13.8).
• Fit the fabric cover back on the car
seat.
11. USING THE CAR SEAT IN THE
FORWARD-FACING POSITION:
Gr. 2/3 (15-36 kg) / ca. 4-12
years
• Place the car seat on the chosen ve-
hicle seat for installation in the for-
THE
ward-facing direction (Fig. 9.3).
• Use of the Isofix connectors (P) is op-
tional. The car seat can be installed in
the Group 2/3 configuration (15-36
kg) using both the Isofix connectors
and the vehicle's three-point seat
belt, or just the vehicle's 3-point seat
belt. See paragraph 5 for installation
with the Isofix connectors. ISOFIX
AND SUPPORT LEG INSTALLATION.
• Pass the diagonal portion of the belt
through the red diagonal belt guide
(C) found at the base of the headrest
(Fig.14.1).
• Carefully place your child in the seat,
making sure their back is well support-
ed by the backrest.
• Fasten the vehicle seat belt to its
buckle ensuring that both the waist
and the diagonal strap pass through
the waist belt slots (J) and have the
waist strap segment pass inside the
belt positioner (Z) (Fig. 14.2).
• When adjusting the height of the
headrest check that the red diagonal
belt guide (C) is positioned above the
shoulder at a maximum distance of 2
cm (Fig. 14.3).
• Pull the diagonal portion of the belt
toward the retractor, so that the belt
is tight and fits snugly against the
