Configuring the Camera from a Web
Browser
This section explains how to set the functions of
the camera by an administrator.
Notes for all aspects of the menu
After changing a setting on a menu, wait at least
2 minutes before powering off the camera. If you
power off the camera immediately, the changed
setting may not be stored correctly.
Configuration of the
Administrator Menu
Firmware Update Menu
The camera information is displayed.
You can also use this menu to update the
camera's firmware.
Information
Model name
Displays the model name of the camera.
Camera name
Displays the name applied to the camera. Change
this using the RM IP Setup Tool.
Software version
Displays the software version of the camera.
Firmware update
Use this to upgrade the firmware. Click [Browse]
to select the firmware file for performing the
desired version update. When you click [Send],
the confirmation dialog appears. Follow the
instructions to run the update.
Password Menu
You can set the administrator password.
Current Password
Enter the current set password.
New Password
Enter a password between 8 and 32
alphanumeric characters. Set a password that
includes both alphabet letters and numbers.
Re-type new Password
Enter the same characters you entered for the
[New Password] field for password confirmation.
OK
Click to change the password. Until you click this
button, the change is not applied on the camera.
Cancel
Click to return to the original password and
invalidate the password change.
Note
When changing the password, use the network
configuration that an unintended third party
cannot access.
