12. ERROR DISPLAYS

If an error occurs, the type of error is displayed.
Take the measures described below to eliminate the problem.

Cause
Displayed when the temperature sur-
rounding the unit or the CD changer is
high and it may damage the semicon-
ductor or laser part.
Displayed when the built-in battery of the
CD changer has run down.
Displayed when the cassette tape is
stuck and cannot be ejected.
Displayed when the disc is stuck and
cannot be ejected.
Displayed when the cassette tape is
wrong and can not be played properly.
Eject the tape.
Displayed when an error occurred in the
CD changer mechanism, etc. (e.g. disc
cannot be changed).
Displayed when the pickup cannot focus
when the CD is played due to scratches
on the disc.
Displayed when the disc is loaded up-
side-down, or only the adapter for the 8
cm-disc is inserted.
Measure
Lower the surrounding tem-
perature and wait for a while
to cool off the unit and the
CD changer.
Check the instruction man-
ual of the CD changer.
Eliminate the cause of the
sticking.
Press the CD button 3 .
Replace the tape with anoth-
er one.
Check the CD changer.
Check the disc.
Check the disc.
