customer replaceable units (CRU) and which components are field replaceable units (FRU).
v If an action step is preceded by (Trained service technician only), that step must be performed only by a
trained service technician.

014-XXX-000
Failed parallel port test.
015-XXX-001
Test aborted. Cannot test USB interface
while it is in use.
Note: If you have USB devices
attached, you cannot run the diagnostic
program for the USB interface.
015-XXX-015
Failed USB external loopback test.
015-XXX-198
Remote Supervisor Adapter II installed
or USB device connected during USB
test.
020-XXX-000
Failed PCI-X interface test.

Action
1. (Trained service technician only) Make sure
that the loopback plug is connected correctly to
the external parallel port.
2. (Trained service technician only) Make sure
that Ethernet is not disabled in the
Configuration/Setup Utility program and that
the BIOS code is at the latest level.
3. Run the loopback diagnostics.
1. Turn off the computer.
2. Replace the USB devices with standard
devices.
3. Turn on the computer.
4. Run the diagnostic test again.
5. (Trained service technician only) Reseat the
system board.
6. (Trained service technician only) Replace the
system board.
1. Make sure the parallel port is not disabled.
2. Run the USB external loopback test again.
3. (Trained service technician only) Reseat the
system board.
4. (Trained service technician only) Replace the
system board.
1. If Remote Supervisor Adapter II is installed as
an option, remove it and rerun the test.
Note: If the Remote Supervisor Adapter II is
present as a standard installation, do not
remove it; the test cannot be run.
2. Remove the USB devices and rerun the test.
3. (Trained service technician only) Reseat the
system board.
4. (Trained service technician only) Replace the
system board.
1. Reseat the adapter.
2. Replace the following components one at a
time, in the order shown, restarting the
computer each time:
a. Each adapter
b. (Trained service technician only) System
board
