Operation and Storage

If the Shandon ClearVue is to be taken out of operation for a long
period of time, or put into storage, ensure the following procedure
has been followed:
Mountant Bottle
• Empty the
xylene.
• Flush the system with xylene (see

Dispense Head Cleaning Station
• Empty the
Xylene Tray
• Empty the
• Ensure the instrument has been thoroughly
cleaned and decontaminated as necessary.
If the Shandon ClearVue has been used with, or has come into
contact with, hazardous material, ensure that the appropriate
decontamination procedures have been followed (See World
Health Organization 'Laboratory Biosafety Manual').
• If the instrument is to be put into storage, re-pack
it into its original packing (see
Shandon ClearVue™ Operator Guide
and clean with
