Rotor and Stator

The rotor and stator magnetically interact with each other in order to convert electrical energy into
rotational movement of the rotor
Rotor
The rotor assembly is a complete unit that is
permanently fixed into the pump housing. The
resulting cavity is charged with water, which
acts as a lubricant. In the event of a failure of
the rotor, the whole assembly must be
replaced.
Note: Contained within the rotor cavity are
seals
and
bearings
that
are
non
field
serviceable.
The bearings provide a low
Rotor within water filled cavity
friction wear surface for the rotor shaft to run
on, and the seals eliminate grit from the rotor
and bearing cavity
Stator & Shield
The Stator is mounted to the base of the pump
housing together with the shield & cap. The
harness connector inserts into the underside of
the motor. Care must be taken to isolate the
machine
from
the
mains
power
before
servicing the pump, and it is important that the
harness connector cover has been refitted
after reassembly.

Pump Housing

The pump housing is bolted directly to the
outer bowl. It contains the volute shape and
flapper sealing faces and also provides a
