7.8.1 Special requirements for the FrogLeg caster fork

The spring-mounted caster fork allows for smoother negotiation of obstacles and offers damping on uneven terrain.
Ottobock recommends using smaller caster wheels for outdoor use. Due to the design, a slight fluttering of the
caster wheels may occur when driving quickly and using larger caster wheels. The user should adjust their driving
in this case.

7.8.2 Approach in case of stiffness

In case of stiffness, the caster wheel axles should be cleaned and oiled.
Oiling the caster axle
1) Remove dirt (such as hairs) from the caster axle between the caster wheel and caster fork.
2) Lubricate the caster axle between the caster wheel and caster fork with a few drops of thin, resin-free oil (sew
ing machine oil).
