7.4.1 Switching on the device
> You can use the VOLUME/
the remote control to switch the device on or back to standby.
After switching on for the first time, you can launch the set-up wizard
(Section 18.7). Here you can set the date and time either via DAB/FM, Internet
or have no update (manual). The device will then attempt to establish a
connection to a WLAN network. To do so, select the corresponding WLAN
network and, if required, enter the WLAN password with the remote control.
7.4.2 Switching off the device
> You can use the VOLUME/
the remote control to switch the device back to standby. The date and time
are shown in the display.
7.4.3 Operating the device with the remote control
With the infrared remote control you can operate the most important device
functions from the comfort of your armchair. When operating the device with the
remote control, please take into account the following points:
> Point the remote control at the front of the device.
> Visual contact between the transmitter and the receiver must be guaranteed.
> If the range of the remote control reduces, replace the batteries.
The maximum range is approximately 5 metres from the front of the device.
7.4.4 Adjusting the volume
> Use the Volume +/- (15) buttons on the remote control or VOLUME/
(2) on the device to set the volume. The set volume is shown on the display.
7.4.5 Activating the mute function
> You can switch off the volume by pressing the MUTE button (4) on the
device or MUTE (13) on the remote control.
This mode is indicated in the status bar by a corresponding icon.
> Pressing the MUTE button again switches the volume back on.
7.4.6 Accessing displays
> By pressing the INFO button (11) on the device or INFO (16) on the remote
control while playing from a source, you can show and scroll through the
following information:
