Compressed air circuit
Compressed air enters the heat exchanger (1) and is cooled by the outgoing, cold, dried air.
Water in air starts to condense. Then, the air flows through the heat exchanger/evaporator (2),
where the refrigerant evaporates.
This causes the air to cool further close to the evaporating temperature of the refrigerant. More
water in the air condenses.
The cold air flows through the separator (3) where all the condensate gets out of the air.
The condensate is automatically drained through the outlet (4).
The outgoing, cold, dried air flows through the heat exchanger (1) where it is warmed up by the
incoming compressed air.
Refrigerant circuit
The refrigerant compressor (5) delivers hot, high-pressure refrigerant gas which flows through the
refrigerant condenser (6).
Most of the refrigerant condenses.
The liquid refrigerant flows through the liquid refrigerant dryer/filter (7) to the capillary tube (8).
The refrigerant leaves the capillary tube at about evaporating pressure.
The refrigerant enters the evaporator (2) where it gets heat from the compressed air by further
evaporation at about constant pressure.
The heated refrigerant leaves the evaporator and gets into the compressor (5) through a liquid
separator (12).
A bypass valve (9) regulates the refrigerant flow.
The fan (10) blows cool air over the refrigerant condenser (6).
Pressure switch (11) controls fan (10), depending on the operating conditions.
