6 W/B BAL (white/black balance) setting section
WHT A/WHT B (white balance memory A/white
balance memory B) switch
Recalls two white balance settings (A and B) stored in
memory.
•Setting this switch to WHT A recalls setting A. If
you turn the WHITE controls while WHT A is
selected, setting A will change. To change the setting
A without affecting the current white balance, set the
switch to z after setting it to WHT A. The current
white balance is restored when you set the switch to
z.
•Setting this switch to WHT B recalls setting B. If
you turn the WHITE controls while WHT B is
selected, setting B will change. To change the setting
B without affecting the current white balance, set the
switch to z after setting it to WHT B. The current
white balance is restored when you set the switch to
z.
AWB/ABB (automatic white balance/automatic
black balance) switch
•Set this switch to AWB to start automatic white
balance adjustment. The AUTO SETUP indicator
lights green at this time. To cancel the adjustment,
set the AUTO SETUP switch to BREAK. The
AUTO SETUP indicator lights up red and the
previous setting is restored. To turn off the indicator,
set the switch to BREAK again.
•Set this switch to ABB to start automatic black
balance adjustment. The AUTO SETUP indicator
lights up green at this time. To cancel the
adjustment, set the AUTO SETUP switch to BREAK.
The AUTO SETUP indicator lights red and the
previous setting is restored. To turn off the indicator,
set the switch to BREAK again.
WHITE (white balance manual adjustment)
controls
Turn these controls to manually adjust the the white
balance. The left-hand control adjusts the R signal
level and the right-hand control adjusts the B signal
level.
BLACK (black balance manual adjustment)
controls
Turn these controls to manually adjust the black
balance. The left-hand control adjusts the R signal
level and the right-hand control adjusts the B signal
level.
ABSOLUTE button
Pressing this button alternately turns it on and off,
selecting the manual white or black balance adjustment
mode.
Absolute mode (the button is lit): An absolute
correspondence exists between the positions of the
WHITE and BLACK controls and the adjustment
values. The center position always corresponds to
the middle value (DATA "0") within the possible
adjustment range.
Relative mode (the button is off): An absolute
correspondence between the positions of the
controls and the adjustment values does not exist.
The positions of the controls when the relative
mode is selected serve as reference points for
subsequent adjustment. The center position does
not always correspond with the middle value
within the possible adjustment range.
7 STANDARD button
When you press this button, the video camera settings
are initialized to their standard values and the button
lights for several seconds.
Press this button again while it is lit to restore the
settings which were in effect before you pressed the
STANDARD button.
8 OUTPUT switch
Selects the signal output from the WF, VBS 1/2/3, Y/
G, R-Y/R, B-Y/B, PIX, and SERIAL OUTPUT (only
when the BKP-5972 is attached) connectors on the
CCU-550 series unit.
TEST: Outputs the color bar signal internal of the
camera.
CAM: Outputs the video signal from the camera.
BARS: Output the internal color bar signal of the
CCU-550 series unit.
