Turning on and off the WLAN
Perform the following steps to turn on or off the WLAN:
1. On the Today screen, tap Start > iPAQ Wireless.
2. On the iPAQ Wireless screen, tap the Wireless Control icon.
3. When the Wireless Control screen appears, tap the WLAN icon. The WLAN icon displays in
orange (off); tap the WLAN icon to turn on the WLAN. The icon changes to green (on) and the
WLAN indicator light flashes.
Note: Even though the WLAN indicator flashes, it does not necessarily mean a connection has been established. If the

you are using an infrastructure network. It will use the same channel as the access point.
Otherwise, set the frequency that corresponds to your country's regulatory commission's range
and the 802.11(b) standard.
F. If necessary, select a transmit rate from the drop-down list. This is the wireless data
transmission speed.
