4.1

Air Flap Motor (M28) Removal

1. Remove the appliance from its housing unit; see Section 010-4.1.
2. Disconnect the appliance from the power supply.
3. Remove the lid; see Section 010-4.2.
4. Remove the rear/left side panel; see Section 010-4.4.
5. Remove the four T20 screws securing the air flap motor mounting
bracket; see Figure 035-5, Item 1.

6. Remove the motor/bracket assembly from the appliance rear wall.
7. Disconnect the wiring harness from the motor (push in on the locking tab
and pull up).
8. Insert a small flathead screwdriver between the retainer on the motor
adapter and the retainer on the motor, and press the adapter retainer
outward to separate the adapter from the motor.
9. Remove the three T20 screws securing the motor to the mounting
bracket; take the motor off of the bracket.
Note:
When re-installing the motor, ensure that the air flap (the flat metal disc on
the end of the spring) is seated correctly on the opening.

Cavity Temperature Sensor (1R30-10) Removal

1. Remove the appliance from its housing unit; see Section 010-4.1.
2. Disconnect the appliance from the power supply.
3. Remove the cable duct. See Section 010-4.6.
4. Remove the two T20 screws securing the temperature sensor; see Figure
035-6, Item 1.
