Common Mistakes

• Inopportune system design, which can play a large part on the functionality/reliability
• Devices out of sync with configurator settings (Sync device option)
• Overloading a cascaded switch link
• Overloading a 10/100 switch port
• Green Ethernet enabled or using a EEE switch
• Connecting chassis directly to a ISP provided router
• Not updating firmware or letting the firmware update complete
• Multicast switch settings
• Non efficient network configuration
• Using Multicast on a network switch that is not layer 2/3 switch
• Querier settings on multi-switch multicast IGMP setups
• QoS setup on multicast setup not completed or completed incorrectly
• No Wi-Fi (caused by improper multicast network settings)
• Running multicast video over IP products on the same switch as a unicast ELAN IP AMP
