This password prevents unauthorized use of your
computer, protects the data stored in it, and preserves
the preferences you set. The user password can be up to
32 characters and capitalization is not important. ('T' is
the same as 't'.)

remain locked until you enter the user or the

Action
This password prevents unauthorized access to
the computer's configuration. This password
can also be used to start the computer. The
administrator password can be up to 32
characters and capitalization is not important.

locked**, or with no protection. Works only if a
