Welch Allyn 9020 Infrared Tympanic Thermometer

CONTROLS

PROBE
COVER
DISPENSER
WINDOW
Vertical window in
the handle of the
9020 allows you to
check the supply
of probe covers
remaining in the
dispenser.

SLIDE
Moves forward to extend the probe, automatically
applying a probe cover. Moves backward to retract
the probe, automatically removing the probe cover.
Once the probe is partially advanced or partially
retracted, you cannot reverse the direction of the
slide. The slide will not move unless a probe
cover dispenser containing probe covers is in
place.
BATTERY
COMPARTMENT
Approximately 1 year of
operation (depending on
usage) from each set of
4 AAA batteries. Visual
and audible signals
indicate when batteries
are low.
RECALL
BUTTON
When pressed, the
last temperature taken
will appear on the
display for 5 seconds.
Moving the slide forward
erases the previous
temperature from the
thermometer's memory.
MODE SWITCH
Cycles through Oral,
Rectal, Core, and
Surface to select the
operation mode.
Temperatures must
be taken in the mode
desired; they will
not be converted
between modes.
