RETRACT SLIDE
This symbol appears, along with an audible
double-beep, as a reminder when the probe
has not been fully retracted. After taking a
temperature, always move the slide back to
its original position to protect the probe from
damage and debris.
MALFUNCTION
If the 9020 requires service due to an internal
malfunction, this symbol appears, along with a
numeric error code indicating the nature of the
problem. When this indicator is displayed, no
temperatures can be taken.
UNDER/OVER TEMPERATURE
RANGE INDICATORS
This Up Arrow/Down Arrow symbol blinks for
five seconds, then remains steady if the 9020
detects a temperature that is beyond the normal
operating range (75.0°F – 108.0°F). The Down
Arrow indicates a temperature below 75°F. The
Up Arrow indicates a temperature above 108°F.
