Flotation device

Volume of the buoyancy compensator: approx. 14 liters.
Volume of the personal flotation device: approx. 45 liters.
Flotation device material: polyurethane-coated nylon
fabric, black.
The flotation device has a sandwich-type design in the
back area and consists of two chambers. On the outside is
a layer of black nylon fabric, and on the inside is a layer of
polyurethane film. One chamber is used as a buoyancy
compensator, the other as a personal flotation device.
The chamber of the buoyancy compensator can be filled
with compressed gas for buoyancy via an inflator hose.
The chamber has two flanges for attaching an inflator hose
and a pressure relief valve.
In addition to the chamber on the back, the personal
flotation device chamber also consists of the two side floats
and can be filled via compressed gas connections with
CO
gas from compressed gas cylinders. The chamber
2
has 2 relief valves (3 PSI corresponds to approx. 0.2 bar)
with quick release function.

components with part code, quantity and serial number
where applicable.
If parts are replaced or supplemented, the new
components must be entered in this list (with serial number
where applicable).
The following codes are used:
Consumables (e.g. CO

The plate carrier is not functionally connected to the RBD 5000
and is worn underneath the RBD 5000. During the operation,
the LAR V Advanced rebreather and the RBD 5000 can be
discarded. The plate carrier remains on the user.
On the front and rear sections, one ballistic insert plate (VPAM
cartridge)
2
9 protection class) can be inserted from below into each
section. In addition, various equipment can be fitted and
carried on the MOLLE system. A handle is attached to the rear
section.
The three-row waist belt as well as the shoulder harnesses are
equipped with hook clasps for fast opening and closing. Hook-
and-loop fastener can be used to adjust the length variably.
The freely adjustable rubber cords on the rear section of the
plate carrier can be used to set the optimum fit on the user's
body.
2.1.5
2 ballistic insert plates in accordance with VPAM 9
(standalone) can be housed in the plate carrier.
Material of the plates is monolithic ceramic coated with high-
performance polyethylene. In addition, the plates have a
special saltwater-resistant coating.
