protection based on the work
materials or to reduce the effects
of tool vibration.

1. Do not operate any tool when tired
or under the influence of drugs,
alcohol or medications.
2. Do not overreach when operating a
tool. Proper footing and balance
enables better control in
unexpected situations.
SPECIFIC SAFETY
PRECAUTIONS
1. Use the correct tool for the job.
This tool was designed for a
specific function. Do not modify
or alter this tool or use it for an
unintended purpose.
2. Never apply torque that exceeds
the maximum torque (see
Specifications).
3. Do not use as a nut breaker.
4. Do not disassemble or alter the
wrench. This may impair the tool's
accuracy.
5. Do not operate the tool if any part
is missing. Replace the missing
part before operating. Failure to do
so could result in a malfunction
and personal injury.
OPERATION
1. Twist the end to unlock (D).
2. Hold the body tube and rotate the
handle (C) dial clockwise or
counterclockwise to set the desired
torque.
3. Rotate the handle until the handle's
edge meets the horizontal line on
the body tube that marks the
nearest in-lb increment below your
target torque (A).
4. Turn the handle until the zero
graduation mark on the minor scale
(B) lines up with the vertical line on
the major scale (A).
5. Rotate the handle to line up in-lb
number mark on the minor scale
(B) with the vertical line on the
major scale (A).
6. Retighten the end (D).
7. Attach a socket to the torque
wrench.
8. Turn the reverse lever for
clockwise or counterclockwise
operation.
9. Place the socket on the nut or bolt.
Pull the handle of the torque
wrench at the center of the handle
(C). When the set torque is
reached, the following will occur:
a. An audible click is heard. The
click is quieter at lower torque
settings.
b. The strain on the handle will
suddenly 'break' at the set
torque point.
c. The handle will snap forward.
10. The nut or bolt is tight. Remove
the wrench.
