Copying

Fine Magnification

Paper can expand or shrink be affect-
ed, which can result in copies where
size of the original and the copy do
not match (such as under humid con-
dition). This function uses the meas-

urements of the original and the copy
to calculate a ratio to produce copies
that are close to actual size.

❒ Fine Magnification is used for orig-

scanned. If you want to perform
fine magnification corrections to
paper that has stretched due to the
type of paper or exposure to hu-
mid conditions, see "Fine Magnifi-
cation: Copier" in the System
Settings manual.
❒ Set the correction ratio after meas-
uring the length and width of the
original and the copy.

Set the correction value (horizontal) to 0.8%.
❒ When Fine Magnification is select-
ed, depending on the pattern of
original, moire patterns may be
noticeable or the image quality
may deteriorate.

Select the paper type you want to
correct, then adjust the horizontal
and vertical ratio using the [-] and
[+] keys.
