PLAYLISTS

A Playlist is created from the Queue or by selecting individual items while browsing. Queues and selections can be saved as
a new playlist or save to an existing playlist. There are different types of playlists depending upon the source in question
and where and how they are created/saved. These are as follows:
MY (Qobuz, TIDAL, Spotify) Playlists. – When creating or saving a playlist from any given services whether from the services
own app, desktop software, or Cary Audio Streamer 2.0 App, it will carry over to the DMS-650 upon logging into the service
from the Cary Audio Streamer 2.0 app. You can access these playlists from the Home Screen of the service and selecting My
Music>>My (Qobuz, TIDAL, Spotify) Playlists. For obvious reasons tracks specific to Qobuz, TIDAL, and Spotify can only be
saved as, or in a playlist that corresponds to that service. For example, you cannot save TIDAL tracks to a Qobuz Playlist.
DMS Playlist – A DMS playlist saves all the tracks in a queue regardless of which service (Qobuz, TIDAL, Spotify) or source,
(network HDD, NAS, USB HDD SD Card) the tracks are sourced from. From any sources Home Screen, you can select DMS
Playlists to access these playlists.
Server Playlists – These are playlists created within server software such as JRiver, Twonky, etc., not from the DMS-650.
Server Playlists can only be accessed by selecting the server in question from the DMS-650 Network Input and navigating to
the folder that stores these playlists. This is all dependent on how you have setup the server playlists folder and navigation
within your media player software.
To Save as Playlist
While viewing your queue, Press the Save as Playlist command in the blue box to the right of the list. Type the name you
wish to name it and select the type of playlist you wish to save it as. See Playlist introduction above for more.
To Save to Playlist
While viewing your queue, Press the Save to Playlist command in the blue box to the right of the list. Highlight the Playlist
you wish to add to the queue. Press Enter on the remote. Note: Only tracks from the same services playlist you select will
be saved. If you want to save all tracks from multiple services to a playlist, you must select a Cary Audio DMS Playlist.
