4.1.3 CODE LENGTH QUALIFICATION

To prevent t he " short scan" error, define t he " Lengt h Qualificat ion" set t ings t o ensure
t hat t he correct barcode is read by qualifying t he allowable code lengt h.

I f " Max/ Min Lengt h" is select ed, t he m axim um lengt h and t he m inim um lengt h m ust
be specified. I t only accept s t hose barcodes wit h lengt hs t hat fall bet ween m ax/ m in
lengt hs specified.

I f " Fixed Lengt h" is select ed, up t o 2 fixed lengt hs can be specified.
Not e: The specified lengt h( s) m ust include t he check digit ( s) t he barcode cont ains.
1) Read t he barcode t o enable eit her Max. / Min. Lengt h qualificat ion or Fixed Lengt h( s)
qualificat ion.
2) Read t he barcode for Max. Lengt h or Fixed Lengt h 1, and follow st eps 3~ 4.
Repeat st eps 2~ 4 for Min. Lengt h or Fixed Lengt h 2.
3) Read t he " Decim al
4) Read t he " Validat e" barcode on t he sam e page t o com plet e t his set t ing.
