4–4 VENTILATION, HEATING AND AIR CONDITIONING*
FAN CONTROL SWITCH
The fan switch provides the speed control
of the blower fan (there are 4 fan speeds).
The rate of air flow can be regulated by
means of the fan. To enhance comfort, the
fan should be switched on during driving.
AIR INTAKE LEVER
This is used to select fresh outside air or
recirculation inside air.
Fresh Air Mode ( )
Outside air is drawn into the passenger
compartment.
This position is used for normal ventilation,
heating and cooling.
Recirculation Mode (
Interior air is recirculated inside the vehicle.
Use this position when driving in dusty con-
ditions or to avoid traffic fumes, and when
quick cooling or heating is required.
NOTE
Continued operation in the recircu-
lation mode could cause interior to
become stuffy and windows to fog up.
Use recirculation mode in short pe-
riods of time.
