  • Page 4 OPERATIONAL INSTRUCTIONS Preface The Operating Manual contains important information on how to operate the machine in a safe, proper and economical manner. Compliance with it will help to avoid dangers, repair costs and downtimes and increase the reliability and service life of the machine. Eventually, the operating manual is to be supplemented by instructions on the basis of existing national regulations on accident prevention and environmental protection.

The suitable safety rules and precautions are to be followed as with any other machine, in regards to the working method and operation.

    Intended Use The LISSMAC Masonry saw is intended exclusively for cutting building blocks made of mineral material, using the wet cutting method. Cutting wood, plastic or metal is prohibited! Material containing asbestos must not be processed.
  • Page 9: Choice Of Personnel And Qualification; Fundamental Obligations

    Use personal protective equipment in accordance with the locally applicable regulations! Observe all safety and danger notes and keep them in readable condition! Replace damaged or illegible safety and danger notices immediately. In the event of any safety-relevant changes to the machine or the way in which it is operating, shut down the machine immediately and place appropriate signs on it.

    1.4. Safety information relating to the phases of use 1.4.1. Transport Only use a suitable transport vehicle with an adequate load capacity. Secure the load properly and reliably. Disconnect the machine from the power supply even in the event of a minor change of location. Transport may only take place in a secured transport position.

    1.4.4. Special work while using the machine Unplug the saw before maintenance and repair work. For safety and/or functional reasons, all openings must be covered and sealed before cleaning so that no cleaning agents can enter through them. Electric motors, switches, and connectors are particularly at risk.

    2.3. Sound power level WARNING Danger of Hearing Damage Wearing hearing protection is mandatory for sound power levels above 85 dB (A).  Wear your personal hearing protection. The sound level generated by the machine was measured according to the specifications of the standards DIN EN 12418 and EN 3744.

    COMMISSIONING 4.1. Connections and media Electrical Connection A power source with the operating voltage indicated on the type plate must be available. We strongly recommend fusing with a residual current device (FI / RCD). Water Tray The water tray should only be filled with clean water To prevent dust formation and overheating during cutting, the saw blade must always be lubricated with water and cooled.
