8.1 Troubleshooting for wireless LAN connection

Malfunction
An abnormal function
happens during operation.
The unit does NOT receive
signals from the wireless
remote control.
The user interface display is
blank.
Other electric appliances
start to operate.
If after checking all above items, it is impossible to fix the problem yourself, contact
your installer and state the symptoms, the complete model name of the unit (with
manufacturing number if possible) and the installation date (possibly listed on the
warranty card).
The following table provides a brief description of how to deal with some
problems. If none of the following solutions fix the problem, go to

Problem
Connection to the wireless LAN is not
possible (Daikin eye is NOT blinking
during wireless LAN connection setting).
The wireless LAN is NOT visible on the
unit overview screen (Home screen)
after configuration of the WLAN
adapter (WPS option).
Measure
The air conditioner may malfunction because of
lightning or radio waves. Turn the breaker OFF and
back ON.
Check the batteries of the wireless remote control.

Try operating the unit with the
wireless remote controller or other
user interface.
Check if the power is on.
Turn the unit off and back on again.
Make sure the wireless LAN is close
enough to the communication device.
Check if communication is OK.
Make sure that the smart device is
connected to the same wireless
network as the wireless LAN.
