Trouble Shootings for abnormalities

If an abnormality occurs while using the instrument, please check the following according to the guidelines.
If you can't solve the problem even if you check the following or not presented problems, please
immediately request the technical service to Cole-Parmer's sales department. If the device is not operating,
please check the followings.
(1) Please check the power connected to the instrument.
(2) Please check if the START button is pressed.
(3) Please make sure there is no power outage.

Problem
The device does not
turn on or has
turned off while in
use.
Circuit breaker in the
building keeps
tripped.
The power turns on
but the equipment
does not work.

Cause
• The power cord is not
connected to the outlet
correctly.
• Outlet/ plug/ power cord is
damaged.
• Power supply does not match
the equipment's power type.
• Either circuit breaker is tripped
or there is a power outage.
• Internal circuit failure of the
equipment
• Too many plugs are
connected.
• Internal circuit failure of the
equipment
• Due to overheating, the
protection device cuts off the
power.
• Internal circuit failure of the
equipment
Solution
• Plug the power cord into the
outlet correctly.
Replace the damaged outlet/
plug/ power cord.
• Check the voltage, phase and
capacity of the power supply
and connect the power
correctly.
If the electrical circuit breaker
in the building is tripped, find
the cause of the short circuit
and fix it.
• Request service.
• Remove all the devices
connected to the circuit breaker
and use within the capacity of
the circuit breaker current.
• Request service.
• When the internal circuit
board is overheated, the
device automatically shuts off
the heater power to protect
the internal circuit and emits
alarm.
• Unplug the power cord and
allow the equipment cool,
then restart.
• Request service.
