G2 MIDI OUT (
With the software upgrade you are now able to choose separate MIDI channels for each
individual preset regardless of if it's in STOMP BOX mode or PRESET mode. It's really simple.
1. Power up your G2 while holding down footswitch 7
2. You will now see all the preset lights flashing. Press and hold the preset you want to
change the MIDI channel for. If you want to change the bypass preset press and hold
the flashing POST GAIN button
3. Now you will see the effects loop lights numbers 1 – 10 flashing. These are the MIDI
channels you have to choose from. Simply press and hold the MIDI channel you want to
attach to that preset
4. Once you've selected the MIDI channel the preset lights will start flashing again. Repeat
the above process for any other presets you want to change the MIDI channel on.
5. With all the MIDI channels selected for the presets simply unplug the power, then power
back up, and you're good to go.
Just remember that all presets are in default MIDI channel 1, and it will edit the presets on
whatever bank you were on when you powered down.
This feature is really powerful for anyone using MIDI devices in their rig. It means you can use
your MIDI device in PRESETS, or STOMP BOX mode, and you can use other loops in STOMP
BOX mode with canging the MIDI program you're on.
For example. I have my Strymon TimeLine in MIDI channel 1 changing with my G2 presets. I
have a couple of presets that use my Strymon MOBIUS in MIDI channel 2, and also a couple of
MOBIUS presets set up in STOMP BOX mode in MIDI channel 2. And I also have a compressor
set up in STOMP BOX mode as well, and that preset uses MIDI channel 3 so it doesn't affect
the TIMELINE or MOBIUS when I add it to another preset.
Works a treat 
