Engine Check Warning Light
This light should come on to show that it is
working when the engine control switch is
turned to the ON position, and then should
go out after the engine is started.
Under certain conditions, when the engine
control switch is turned ON, this indicator
light may flash to notify the driver of the
following potential conditions.
Maintenance is required
Water is detected in the fuel
Coolant level is low
Diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) tank level is low
Engine mounted fuel filter requires
maintenance
If equipped, diesel particulate filter (DPF)
regeneration inhibit switch is activated
and preventing regeneration
Crankcase breather element requires
maintenance
DPF requires maintenance
If the optional Idle Shutdown feature is
enabled, this light may also begin flashing
when the Idle Shutdown timer is activated.
This light will flash for the length of time
that programmed in the Idle Shutdown
Period parameter to indicate to the driver
that the engine is about to shut down. Cycle
the engine control switch to restart the
vehicle when needed or appropriate.

Brake System Warning Light

Brake Air Pressure Warning Light
This light should come on briefly when the
engine control switch is turned to the ON
position, and then should go out after the
engine has started.
This warning light comes on and a buzzer
sounds if the brake air pressure drops below
the specified level. Immediately pull off to a
safe place, check the vehicle and take
necessary actions. Set the parking brake by
moving the lever to the up position, and do
not disengage the parking brake or shift the
vehicle to D (Drive) until air pressure levels
have returned to normal.

Parking Brake Light

This light comes on when the parking brake
lever is in the wheel locked position with
the engine control switch ON. To serve as a
reminder, the light should stay on when the
parking brake is applied and the engine
control switch is on. Have the system
repaired if the light does not come on when
it should. Do not drive the vehicle with the
parking brake lever still in the wheel locked
position.
