27. Steering Gear Box Torque : Retighten the
attaching bolts of the steering gear box to
the specified torque every 12 months or
every 80 000 km (50,000 miles) whichever
occurs first.

28. Driveshaft Flange Torque : Check the
center bolt of driveshaft flange at the
transmission for looseness or damage after
the first 16 000 km (10,000 miles).

29. Driveshaft Lubrication : Lubricate the
universal joint and spline coupling every
6 months or 32 000 km (20,000 miles)
whichever occurs first.
30. Steering Shaft : Lubricate the steering
column shaft grease fitting (above the
steering gear) every 5 000 km (3,000 miles).
31. Leaf Spring U-bolt Torque : Tighten the
U-Bolt nuts to the specified torque after the
first 8 000 km (5000 miles), thereafter every
16 000 km (10,000 miles).

suspension s main support members nuts
