requires disassembling of the relevant
components, so you should have it done by
the nearest dealer.
Air Suspension
Check the air spring bellows for cracks, loose
installation and connection and damage at
the intervals specified by the Maintenance
Schedule. Check also the leveling valve levers
and rods. Any leveling valve levers and/or
rods in an abnormal condition must be
replaced with new ones; have the
replacement performed by the nearest
dealer.
Driving with insufficient air pressure in air
suspension or broken air springs is very
dangerous because the vehicle height will
not be stable.
Checking Air Springs
Check the air springs for any damage and
for mud/sand/gravel trapped underneath.
Remove mud/sand/gravel being careful not
to damage the air spring. Also check each
air spring for loose installation or connection
and for contamination by grease splashed
from the driveshaft. Wipe off any grease if
present on an air spring.
Caution
Mud/sand/gravel trapped under air
springs may cause damage to air
springs.

Grease on the air spring surface causes
the air spring to swell and affects its
durability.
Checking for Air Leaks
Check the air piping, air tank and air springs
for air leaks.
If air springs get wrinkles on their surfaces,
the system may be insufficiently charged
with air or leaky.
Checking Vehicle Position
Check if the cargo bed goes down once
when it is loaded with cargo and then rises
in a few seconds to almost the same height
as it was before being loaded with the
cargo.
If the height of the cargo bed fails to return
to the empty height, leveling valves and/or
air springs may be faulty. Please contact the
nearest dealer.
The air springs may not be able to restore
the original vehicle height (vehicle position)
if you load the vehicle excessively or in a
lopsided manner.
